Special Projects - Anniversary Gifting

CBRE Investment Management contracted me to assist their marketing team with design and direction for various assets, including a special gifting project for a fund team that celebrated it’s 10 year anniversary. I worked closely with the marketing team to further develop their concept of “knocking it out of the park,” creating a series of gifts for each member which included a deck of playing cards as well as a baseball bat engraved with the team name and colored to the company’s palette.

The deck of playing cards I created for each member of the team (30+ people), were individualized to each member with corresponding player stats, including things like length of time on the team, sales data, awards received, and various other figures related to the fund. I included a custom baseball diamond in the background of each members headshot, which I generated with the aid of Ai technology, and edited each headshot and card to look like a vintage baseball card. I then had each player card printed at a local print shop on the same material used for player cards (Tyvek), and assembled a deck for each player into plastic card cases designed for player/trading cards. I then printed stickers as a cover to each case to mark the occasion in time.

Concurrently, I coordinated with a custom bat engraving company to emblazon the company logo, the team name, and the gifting tagline: 10 years of knocking it out of the park, onto the bat, ensuring size and readability onto a bat painted to the company’s signature blue color.

Upon completed I had everything shipped to the event site in New York City, ahead of time and on budget.

The baseball cards were modeled after vintage baseball cards, and with the aid of Ai, was able to create a background stadium fit for each “heavy hitter.” I then created the rest of the design in Illustrator, and overlayed vintage paper texture on the cards to give the appearance of a worn card.

The gifts were a hit, and for the top 10 performers, we gifted them an engraved baseball bat with the company logo.
